Cottage Kennels and Cattery has been an established, reputable boarding facility for domestic dogs and cats since 1988.

Owned and operated by The Morrison Family, senior members of the family have retired, Rick and Lisa currently manage the business with the assistance of their daughters Lauren, Sarah and Johanna.

Our small cottage acts as our reception area which we have chosen to continue using because of it's old world charm and history. At times the cottage becomes quite congested during peak times, but clients who have been using our services for some years have learnt to navigate their way around the small area!

We have a fabulous team of carers, admin staff and driver. Finding the right staff is important to the success and peace of mind in any business. After operating the business for over 18 years now, I would confidently suggest the people here now are the best team we have ever had.

Leaving your loved pet in a pet boarding facility is often worrying for you. We understand the concerns and anxieties involved. There is often the need to offer a tissue across the counter to not the pets, but the owners as the say goodbye to their loved friend when they are passed onto a staff member. Please know that during your pets stay, if there ANY concerns at all regarding the health or well being of your pet, we will contact you or the nominated person to seek advice, or pass on information. We are more than happy to take phone calls from you or emails while you are away, and give you current updates on how your pet is doing. We actually quite like phone calls from Europe and exotic destinations. Postcards are often received for pets if you are away for a while, we probably like hearing more about your trip than your pet, but your mail goes straight to your pet, to be placed in their pen!

Inspections of our facilities are welcomed, this way you are free to decide if Cottage Kennels and Cattery is the place for you and yours. We normally provide inspection times between 11am - 3pm daily (not Sunday) the only time we do not conduct inspections is during the school holidays. Our schedule here then is extremely busy, we simply would not be able to allow disturbances throughout the various facilities with groups of people wandering through.
