“The Deck” is our new deluxe accommodation for your pampered pooch. We anticipate construction of this building to be finished by early 2012 (photos to be uploaded once building complete). “The Deck” is a substantial rustic brick complex with floor to ceiling windows, a merbau deck verandah which provides a perfect platform for the dogs to laze on whenever they choose.

All suites are climate controlled which means cool in summer and warm and cosy in winter. There are several bedding options in each suite, one which is heated in the cooler months. There are also hammock beds if that is what our guests prefer. All pens will also contain a flat screen television, to simulate a home-like atmosphere. All dogs will have access to their own private play yard via a doggy door, where they can run around outside and say hello to the neighbours, or lounge on the outdoor furniture enjoying the fresh country air.
Inspection is sure to please.

We provide all of the bedding your dog will require, which is laundered on a daily basis, for this reason we discourage owners bringing beds from home. If your dog has a coat/jacket, you are encouraged to send this along in the winter months. We have a reasonably priced range of coats and jackets available here for purchase.

We also have toys which we allow the dogs to enjoy, so please do not bring any from home as they could get misplaced or damaged.

Code of Practice for Victorian Boarding Kennels states "only two dogs may share a pen or play yard at any given time", so rest assured your pet will have only one other friend. With written permission from owners three pets from the one family would be allowed to share. With over twenty years of experience we have found at Cottage Kennels, most of our canine guests prefer to have a companion while boarding, we always ensure that companions are totally compatible in age, size and temperament.

We do offer private accommodation for dogs that prefer their own company or owners who would prefer this option for their dog. This will incur a higher fee, see fees page for details.

Boarding your pet is the best alternative care you can choose in your absence. The selection of this temporary home is an important decision. *Upon arrival please ensure your dog is safely restrained on a lead or in a pet carrier. During your dogs’ stay we will utilise our own identification collar and lead, therefore request that you take your collar and lead home and remember to bring them along when collecting your pet.
